West Pokot Releases MAM 2025 Seasonal Weather Outlook

The County Director for Meteorological Services, Wilson Lonyang'ole, officially launched the March-April-May (MAM) 2025 long rains seasonal weather outlook at Kilimo House.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including County Director of Agriculture Philip Ting'aa, NDMA representatives, the livestock department, and nutrition experts. Discussions focused on the weather outlook, development of sectoral advisories, and strategies for effective dissemination of weather information.
Lonyang’ole emphasized the importance of early warning systems in mitigating weather-related risks, highlighting the role of data in improving forecast accuracy for better planning in agriculture, livestock, and disaster management.

Stakeholders reaffirmed the need for collaboration in addressing climate challenges and enhancing resilience through improved information sharing.
