The County Government of West Pokot has achieved a significant development milestone with the opening of a solar-powered water pumping station, benefitting over 1,000 households. This sustainable water project, funded in the FY 2022-2023, is designed to provide reliable water access by harnessing solar energy, a key resource in the region.

H.E. Governor Simon Kachapin, along with H.E. Deputy Governor Robert Achaule Komolle, officially inaugurated the facility, highlighting the administration's commitment to enhancing public services through clean, renewable energy.
Equipped with 15 solar panels, the eco-friendly water pumping system will ensure consistent water supply, improving residents' quality of life, promoting public health, and supporting community institutions such as the newly opened New Jerusalem Comprehensive School.
