West Pokot County Leaders and KDF Strategize on Cross-Border Security and Ant-Rustling Efforts

Major J.F. Lekadaa, the newly appointed Officer Commanding (OC) of the Kacheliba KDF Detachment, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Simon Kachapin and his deputy H.E. Achaule Robert Komolle, in Kapenguria. During the meeting, the leaders engaged in extensive discussions on key security issues affecting the region.
The discussions focused on the prevailing security challenges in the county, including cattle rustling, border conflicts, and the efforts to strengthen cross-border security between Kenya and neighboring countries. They also explored the possibility of increased collaboration between the County Government and the KDF in addressing these security threats and ensuring the safety of residents.
H.E. Governor Kachapin emphasized the importance of a coordinated approach in tackling insecurity and expressed his administration's commitment to working closely with security agencies to enhance peace and stability.
Major Lekadaa assured the Governor of the KDF's readiness to support security operations in the region and protect communities from any external threats.
