West Pokot County Engages with SRC to Promote Fair Remuneration for Public Officers

This morning, H.E. Governor Simon Kachapin welcomed a team from the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), led by Commissioner Mr. Isaac Kipkemboi Melly, to West Pokot County. The SRC delegation is in the county to support ongoing efforts in monitoring the effective implementation of remuneration and benefits policies and to enhance awareness of the Commission’s vital role in setting and reviewing salaries for state and public officers.
The visit highlights the SRC’s critical contribution as a constitutional partner, ensuring fair, equitable, and standardized salaries and benefits for public service employees within our county. Through this collaboration, the County Government of West Pokot aims to align remuneration practices with national standards, address challenges such as conflicting directives and salary disparities, and foster a more transparent and equitable framework for public service.
Governor Kachapin emphasized the significance of these partnerships in strengthening accountability and improving the welfare of public officers, reinforcing West Pokot County’s commitment to upholding national standards in public service management.
