Governor Simon Kachapin has called on West Pokot County Hospital Board members to prioritize the health sector by ensuring prudent use of resources.

Speaking during the hospital board member’s induction in Eldoret, the governor said his administration had prioritized the health sector in order to achieve universal healthcare coverage for the benefit of all residents.

He reminded the board members to work on line with the CIDP priorities and provide the required oversight. He said induction facilitated by UNICEF, was a significant step towards enhancing accountability, transparency, and professionalism in healthcare institutions. 

The Hospital boards were gazetted as stipulated in West Pokot County Facility Improvement Fund Act.
