Governor Simon Kachapin Inspects Kochiy Health Center, Pledges Completion in a Month

H.E Governor Simon Kachapin  inspected the ongoing works at Kochiy Health Center, a facility set to serve Kochiy and its neighboring villages. The government had allocated Ksh. 2 million to complete construction, which had stalled since 2013.

Governor Kachapin assured residents that his administration will ensure the facility is completed within a month. Plans are also underway to construct an additional wing to expand healthcare services. He further emphasized efforts to connect the facility to electricity for improved service delivery.

The Governor urged Community Health Promoters (CHPs) to work closely with nurses to ensure smooth operations at the facility. Once completed, the health center will be fully equipped, with additional medical practitioners deployed as it expands. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to prioritizing community needs through strategic funds allocation.

During his visit, Governor Kachapin made a stopover at Kochiy Mixed High School, where he pledged to support the construction of a library to enhance learning resources for students.

Later, he commissioned the Kaplelach Cooling Plant in Parua, a key investment in improving agricultural value chains.

He was accompanied by Deputy Governor Robert Komolle, Speaker Fred Kaptui, MCAs Jane Mengich, Ozil Kasheusheu, Veronica Lotiya, CECs Paul Woyakapel, Martin Lottee, and Chief Officers Nelly Soprin, Naomi Lemreng, Leonard Kamsait, and Musa Losiangole among other officials..
