Governor Simon Kachapin Enacts Supplementary Budget for 2024/2025 Financial Year

Governor Simon Kachapin enacted the Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2024. The bill sets the framework for county government spending in the 2024/2025 financial year, with a focus on critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Governor Kachapin lauded the County Assembly for their cooperation and support in approving the Supplementary Budget.

“I appreciate our County Assembly for their cordial working relationship and support in approving the Supplementary Budget, which will now release funds for bursary allocations, provision of medical supplies to county health facilities, enhancement of agriculture and livestock services, and implementation of key infrastructure projects,” he said.
The Governor emphasized that the timely release of funds will ensure the smooth operation of essential services. The budget will enhance agriculture and livestock services, with investments aimed at boosting food security and supporting local farmers. Infrastructure development, a key pillar of the county’s economic growth plan, will also receive a significant boost, with road rehabilitation and water projects prioritized.
