Governor Kachapin Participates in the Launch of County Revenue Enhancement Action Plans (REAP)
Governor Simon Kachapin today participated in the official launch of the County Revenue Enhancement Action Plans (REAP) for West Pokot, Taita Taveta, Uasin Gishu, Homa Bay, and Kakamega counties in Nairobi.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) and supported by the World Bank, is designed to strengthen revenue collection efforts in the participating counties. As part of this effort, a comprehensive study was conducted to analyze each county’s revenue potential and tax gap, providing a framework for targeted revenue enhancement strategies.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in enhancing financial sustainability and optimizing own-source revenue for the counties involved, contributing to better service delivery and economic growth.
