DEPUTY GOVERNOR COMMISSIONS NEW FACILITIES AT ST. BAKHITA, KACHELIBA
On behalf of Governor Simon Kachapin, Deputy Governor
Robert Komolle commissioned new classrooms and a dormitory at St. Bakhita in
Karon, Kacheliba.
Supported by the county government, national
government, and the Parent-Teacher Association, the school has constructed a
twin dormitory and two classrooms to accommodate its growing student population.
Deputy Governor Komolle emphasized the importance
of bursaries in enabling schools to undertake critical infrastructure projects
that enhance learning opportunities.
"What this school has achieved is exemplary.
I encourage other schools to follow suit for the holistic development of our
education system," he stated.
He also urged parents to remain attentive to their
children during the long school holiday, stressing the need for guidance and
ensuring all students return to school when it reopens.
Additionally, over 600 students at St. Bakhita
received bursaries of Ksh. 20,000 each, contributing to increased enrollment,
retention, and transition rates.
The event was attended by Members of County
Assembly Emmanuel Akasile ?Suam), David Alukulem (Riwo), Wilson Chekeruk
(Masol), Francis Loboo (Kasei), nominated MCA Esther Chepution, County Director
of Education for West Pokot County Simon Wamae, Chief Officer Julius Lokituman,
and other stakeholders.
